Note: Statistics from Operation World 2010 ed. *Evangelicals as defined by Operation World 2010 ed.
Africa is home to five of the world's largest evangelical populations.
Because of Uganda's birth rate and adoption of Christianity, the Christian population is expected to double by 2025 from 2010. Unfortunately, not all evangelical Christians in the U.S. or in Uganda are practicing their faith.
The greatest growth in church body in Uganda will come from the poor, refugee and youth. These three groups make up 85% of the total population and this is where the greatest growth is coming from.
These three groups, the poor, refugee, and youth, are where the Africa Bible Project plans to supply 1,000,000 Bibles.
